Franklin W. “Whitey” White, age 75, of Newark, DE, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020.
Born on June 29, 1945 in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Franklin D. and Thelma A. (Monroe) White. Whitey was the proud owner of the former Whitey’s Garage for many years until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, Whitey is preceded in death by his brother, William M. White. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Diane V. (Kowalski) White; children, Andy White (Tonya) of Newark and Denise Meredith (Dennis) of Elkton, MD; siblings, Louise Pannhorst of Wilmington and Diane Elliott (Tom) of Georgetown; and grandchildren, Jesse A. Meredith, Wyatt A. Meredith, Skye-Marie Parag and Coral White.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am until 11 am on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Masks will be required for all in attendance. Services and interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Whitey’s memory to Liberty Fellowship Church, 245 Quigley Blvd # J, New Castle, DE 19720.
