Frieda L. Conner

Frieda L. Conner, age 92, of Townsend, DE, passed away peacefully while in the care of Seasons Hospice, on Friday, January 28, 2022.

Frieda was born in Port Penn, DE, on August 3, 1929. She worked as an LPN at Governor Bacon Health Center in the Tilton Building for 32 years. An avid reader, she was known for reading multiple books at one time. Her large collection of books were in many rooms of the house, including her favorites, history and politics. In her leisure time she took pleasure in finding the history of their family trees. Frieda had a special love for her collection of angels, her favorite being a 3 foot angel guarding her back door. She met the love of her life Samuel while horseback riding. Samuel passed away 11 days before her. They were together their whole life and inseparable; they would have celebrated their 77^th wedding anniversary on April 18.

Her husband Samuel passed away on January 17, 2022. In addition to her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by family members, Eleanor Rausch, Donald Williams, Patricia Williams; also many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her loving sons, Ray T. (Connie) of Middletown, and Samuel, Jr. of Florida; grandchildren, John C. (Colleen) of Middletown, and Ryan M. (Melissa) of Middletown; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Abigail, Emma, and Zachary.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
