George J. Riddle, age 95, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, on Monday, July 18, 2022.

Born in Chester, PA, on August 11, 1926, he was the son of the late Francis and Margaret (Casey) Riddle. George served his country in the United States Army and made his career in the construction industry at various companies.

George was an avid sports fan and loved all Philadelphia teams. He enjoyed dancing, baseball cards and loved “oldies music”. His all-time favorite singer was Frank Sinatra. He also loved visiting friends and playing bingo at the New Castle Senior Center. In his youth, he enjoyed fishing, and playing and managing softball teams. A true and consummate patriot, he was a very proud Army veteran.

George was preceded in death by his first wife, Francis (Gray) Riddle. He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda A. (Wright) Riddle; sons, George Riddle, Jr., John Riddle and wife Betty, Mike Riddle and wife Sarah, David Riddle and wife Carol, and Bob Riddle; daughter, Nancy (Riddle) Olock and husband Mark; step-sons, Thomas Wright, David Wright and his wife Shirley; step-daughter, Tammy (Wright) Sparks and her husband Jerry; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

All services will be held privately.
