          Helen L. (Langan) Cavall, age 100, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Pittston, PA and Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019.

          Born in New York, NY, on May 25, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Tighe) Langan. Helen was an executive secretary at Curtis Paper, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. She was a devoted member of Holy Family R.C. Church and was employed there as an administrative assistant for 8 years. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to many who will be greatly missed.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph R. Cavall. Helen is survived by her daughter, Molly Diehl (Walter); granddaughters, Kelly, Katherine, and Stephanie Diehl; and grandson, Jonathan Diehl.

          A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Holy Family R.C. Church, 15 Gender Road, Newark, DE 19713, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

          In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Milton & Hattie Kutz Home, 704 River Road, Wilmington, DE 19809 or to Holy Family R.C. Church at the address listed above.

    I love seeing the pictures of your mom and grandmother. I have fond memories of her when we were growing up. I remember delicious Sunday dinners and fried onion sandwiches! I also remember going to Atlantic City on fun day trips with your mom and dad! I’m so happy that Pat and I were able to visit with her at your house recently too! Precious fond memories will always be close to my heart!
