Helen Meys
August 6, 1929 - April 13, 2020
Helen Meys, age 90, of Clifton Park, NY, and formerly of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Monday, April 13, 2020.
Born in Ashley, PA on August 6, 1929, she was a daughter of the late George and Sophia Shurshun. Helen devoted 40 years of her working career with DuPont Co. and AT&T.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Meys. She is survived by her son, John William Meys and his companion, Joanne Piracci Richardson; and her grandchildren, Hunter Ryan Meys, Austin Joseph Meys and his wife, Jessica Fredericks Meys and Bethany Marie Meys and her companion, Michael Schrom.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:15 am until 11:45 am on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11:45 am. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE. Face masks will be required for all in attendance.
