  • Herb became a friend to me when I met his late wife Carolyn when we started working together at Almart which is now Kohl’s, so that was over 40 years ago. He was anxiously waiting for his first grandchild to be born Paul at the time.. Herb loved anything with speed, drag racing on the streets of Philly, to his own purple dragster which was a passion he enjoyed with his late son David, any car he raced bared the proud name of TRUST ME. He loved cruise night at the orginal Dunkin Donut on Kirkwood Hwy, Flea markets everywhere he went, camping in many states with his family, I had the pleasure to accompany him and Carolyn many times to Rehoboth De at 3 Seasons camp ground normally in Oct near Halloween people would decorate their RV’s for the holiday lots of friendly competition, of course with Herb’s fear of height I was the wing man to climb on top of the RV to hang the witch from the front. After the passing of his wife Carolyn, Herb took a slower approach to life and spent more time just at home visiting with family and many friends or at his favorite hangout the Minquadale Firehouse or The Farmer’s Market that he lovingly called the Minquadale Mall.
Anyone who met him once and heard the deep gravelly voice will never forget him. He will be deeply missed, but many funny stories will be told of his antics and he would love that.

  • My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. May God be with you at
this time to ease you pain and fill that void with loving memories.

  • The Lord took another Great. Man from us her was a good guy. Always helping people out. If you needed something he was there. He told me a lot of stuff when I was in the fire department. He gave me the opportunity to drive the trucks. It wasn’t for Herbie. I want to be where I’m at today. I’m going to miss you herb. Rest in peace my brother. Should we see you again. Minquadale Fire Company Station 22 will always be your home.

  • So sorry for your loss. Blessing to the family .
