Jacqueline K. “Jackie” Burleigh, age 59, of Newark, DE, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022.

Born in Lincoln, NE on July 14, 1963, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Morgan) Joiner. Jackie made her career as a truck driver in the construction industry.

In her leisure time, Jackie and her husband enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales, and trips to Lancaster. Outside of spending time with her family she liked to watch cooking shows. Jackie loved her boys more than anything and was dedicated to taking care of them.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim Joiner, Bill Joiner, and Roy Joiner and her loyal canine companion, Merry. She is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Frank P. Burleigh; loving sons, William “Richie” DiFebo and Brandon MaGuire; and siblings, Jeanie Brooks, Elizabeth Joiner and Howard Joiner.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
