James H. “Jim” Walls

June 17, 1961 - June 12, 2022

James H. “Jim” Walls, age 60, passed away peacefully on, Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Born in Dayton, PA, on June 17, 1961, he was a son of the late Howard Lloyd and Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Hollenbaugh) Walls. Jim worked for Guardian Construction Company as a hazmat technician for many years, Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Children’s Hospital in different roles, and finishing his career at Colonial School District as a custodian.

Active in his community, Jim was a 45-year life member of Wilmington Manor Volunteer Fire Company. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved fishing. Spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters, was what Jim loved most.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Walls; and nephew, T.J. Bubacz. Jim is survived by his daughter, Jamie R. Walls (Robert Bestwick); siblings, Linda, Ronald, Patricia, Debbie, and Robert; granddaughters, Aubree and Angelina; and nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 am until 11 am on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
