8 Condolences for James Robert “Bob” Wright

  • Dad, Thank you for best child hood ever. Thank you for dealing with my crazy teenage years. Thank you for working hard and always making sure Mom, Mike and I had every thing we needed. Thank you for your laughter and smart ass comments and for always saying what needed to be said even if we didn’t want to hear it. You were the greatest man, father, and grandfather I have ever known. You were “Dad” to many. ALWAYS working hard. It is now your time to rest. You will NEVER be forgotten!!! I love you!

  • I am way past ‘Grief stricken”. I just learned about this on Thursday morning; after all the services. Bob and I had a very tight friendship for a very long time. I simply feel compelled to attempt to convey my condolences to his remaining family. Time and life took us on separate paths after the 1/4 midgets. We were lethal during those times with creative designs and equipment that helped us win countless races. I will never forget the day that Mike set the 1/2 midget track record at Blackbird that was never broken and finally retired. Mike started last in the feature and paced himself winning on the last lap. The people there lost their minds, emptied the stands and surrounded us at the scales to prove that he was legal. I don’t think that Bob could get the smile off of his face until the next day. My affection and bottomless respect for Bob will remain for the rest of my days. There must be a heaven because that is surely where he must be now with his angel Sue.

  • The best grandfather any one could ever have! I’m so grateful for every thing you have done for me over the years. I will always remember the many many many trips to Dunkin with you and all the car shows we attended together. Rest easy pop pop I love you.

  • You are gone now well before your time
    It doesn’t make any sense—
It has no reason nor ryhme.
Rare it is to find in-laws that actually get along
Rarer yet it is to find a gentleman who was so kind and so strong.
The many fond memories I have of you will never end
Words cannot express how much I miss my ‘’father’ and my best friend.

  • We are so very sorry, our condolences to all the family.

  • Sincere Sympathy for Bob’s entire family. Prayers from Cousin Melissa and husband Denny from Millville.
