Jeraldine May Wickkiser, age 76, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 9, 2018.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on September 14, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Doris (Reynolds) Sayers. Jeraldine dedicated her life to her family as a talented and loving homemaker.
She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and loved to watch and admire birds. Jeraldine will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Wickkiser; brother, Charles Sayers; and sisters, Jacqueline Megginson, Joanne Johnson, Joyce Graham and Judy Riley. Jeraldine is survived by her children, Charles Layton of Dover, Robin Piance of New Castle, Jacqueline Boyer (Michael) of Bear and Daran Wickkiser of New Castle; sister, Jean Crum of Seaford; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm on Friday, September 14, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a Celebration of Life will begin at 2 pm. Interment will be held privately.
