John Lyle Walstrum III
April 20, 1992 - October 8, 2022
John Lyle Walstrum III, passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 30. While friends and family are shocked by his passing, we are thankful for John’s life and his allowing us to be part of his journey which started on April 20, 1992.
At an early age, John developed a one-of-a-kind personality that will be remembered for years to come by all who knew him. His personality was one of charisma, a witty sense of humor, and an enchanting smile. John’s spirit was led by his heart.
John’s personal mission in life was to bring joy to those he cared about by going out of his way to put a positive perspective on every situation and to make others smile regardless of the circumstance. He wanted the best for those he cared about and went out of his way to ensure his love for others was not left unnoticed; this could be by his sending a simple text, making a phone call, or snickering a sarcastic comment to bring humor to any situation.
While John embraced each person in his life, he valued his family above everything, and desired nothing more than to have a lasting relationship with his wife, siblings, nieces, and nephew. He is remembered by his family not just for his kind spirit and loving nature, but also for the little moments that carry on forever.
John will truly be missed, always remembered, and the reason we carry joy in our hearts each day.
John is survived by his loving wife, Corinne Walstrum; siblings, Christopher Walstrum (Chelsea) and Adrienne Walstrum (Andrew Jones); nephew and nieces, Andrew Jr, Natalie, Charleigh, and Miley; in-laws, Richard Kent (Sheri); father, John Walstrum Jr. John is predeceased by his mother, Andrea Walstrum.
All services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to John’s services may be sent to Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes directly.

I am saddened to hear this news . We may not have known each other very well but I will say the many times we were in the same room he was always telling a joke and always wore the brightest smile that could light up a room. Making others laugh seemed to be his favorite thing to do. I send my deepest condolences to family and friends .

Corinne, Adrienne, & Chris,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of John. John’s grandmother, Martha, who is my sister-in-law, told me the sad news. Adrienne & Chris, I taught a Fairwinds Christian School where your mother, Andrea & father, John went to school. That is where I met your grandmother, Martha and then met her brother, Kevin, who I married. So I am your great aunt. Unfortunately Kevin passed away a year ago in September. I know what you are going through emotionally. Please always remember all the good times with your brother. Corinne, you do the same. Those times will put a smile on your faces!!
