John T. Gordon III
September 3, 1951 - January 10, 2022
John T. Gordon III, age 70, of New Castle, DE passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Christiana Hospital, surrounded by his family. He has joined his parents and a sister in heaven.
Born in Wilmington, DE on September 3, 1951, he was a son of the late John T. and Irene M. (Fasczewski) Gordon, Jr. John worked as a machinist for Lang Machinery, starting at the age of 16 until his retirement.
John enjoyed fishing and being by the water. He loved taking trips to the beach and sitting for hours watching people fish from the rocks at Lewes beach. John was an avid bowler; he once bowled a 299 score. Active in his community, he was also a past member of Minquadale Fire Company. Above all, John cherished time spent with his family.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Grzybowski. He is survived by his wife, Irene G. (Atkinson) Gordon; four children, William Gordon (Lauren Gleason), Kristin Hardy (Matt), Robert Pryor Jr., and Tracy Stanton (Bob); siblings, Gary Gordon (Shelia), and June Ogden (Jim); aunt, Debby Masten (Terry); 12 grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
All services will be held privately.
