Jonathan B. “John” Macey, age 54, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on April 1, 1968, he was a son of the late Michael and Helen L. (Hoffer) Macey. John made his career as a sandblaster in the construction industry.
John loved sports, especially Philadelphia teams. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Christopher Macey, and Timothy Macey. He is survived by his siblings, Kenneth Macey, Michael Macey, William Macey, Nicholas Macey, Robert Macey, and Jeremy Macey.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to, Good Will Fire Company, 401 South Street, New Castle DE 19720.
