Joseph Earl Criss
Mr. Joseph Earl Criss, age 68, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2010.
Born in Pine Bluff, AR, on October 23, 1942, Mr. Criss was the son of the late Lynwood Criss and Mackie E. Inge Criss. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an electrician and a mechanic by profession and retired from The Boeing Company in Eddystone, PA, in July 2010 after a 30-year career. Previously he was employed with the City of Chester, PA, and with the SEPTA Company of PA.
Mr. Criss was an avid student of the Bible. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and going dancing with his wife.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Patricia E. Wilson Criss; children, Kimberly Ellis of Atlanta, GA, Derek Love of Baltimore, MD, Renee Fortune of Baltimore, MD, and Joelle Criss of Chester, PA; and grandchildren, Dayvon Love of Baltimore, MD, Keyanna, Kierra and Michael Ellis of Atlanta, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Freddie Mae Massie, Roy Criss, Lynette Smith, Mary Frances Tatum, Lynwood Criss II, Jeanette Richburg, and Bennie Lee White.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 2101 Red Lion Road, Bear DE 19701.
