Josephine L. Meadows

Mrs. Josephine L. Meadows, known fondly as “Jo,” age 86, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011.
Born in Jobe, KY, on June 2, 1925, Mrs. Meadows was the daughter of the late John Justice and Elda Endicott Justice. She was employed for many years with the Ronson Corporation in Newark until her retirement.
A talented homemaker throughout her life, Mrs. Meadows delighted in spending time with her beloved family. In her leisure hours, she enjoyed shopping, traveling to North Carolina and West Virginia, watching favorite television programs, and trying her luck in the casino at Delaware Park.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior D. Meadows, on March 17th of this year; siblings, America, Sara, Edward, Floyd, Charles, Ulysses, and Harold; and great granddaughter, Elizabeth Wierzbicki. She is survived by her son, Jerry D. Meadows (Becky) of New Castle, DE; grandchildren, Stephanie Wierzbicki (DJ), Sean Meadows (Leann), and Nicholas Meadows (Brenda); brother, Benny Justice (Wanda) of Whitman, WV; great grandchildren, Tyler, Kayla, Noah, Breanna, Nicholas, Nathan, Gillian, Samantha, and Kelsey; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
