Joyce Kay McCullough Peck

Joyce Kay McCullough Peck, age 84, of Lewes, DE, and formerly of Holloway Terrace, New Castle, DE and Dover, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 11, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on August 30, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Sen. Calvin R. and Charlotte Virginia (Brown) McCullough. Joyce was a graduate of William Penn High School with the class of 1958. She made her career at the State of Delaware until her retirement.

Joyce enjoyed serving her community as a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Holloway Terrace Volunteer Fire Company. She received a tribute from the Delaware State Senate for 50 years of service to the auxiliary in 2010.  Joyce was a life member of the Caesar Rodney Chapter 8, Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a lifelong member of Holloway Terrace Baptist Church. Joyce’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Peck; siblings, Donall McCullough and Robert A. McCullough, Sr.; and former spouse and friend, Robert Peck. She is survived by her son, Robert T. Peck; granddaughter, Dylan Peck; step-grandson, Ebin Moyer; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 10:45 am on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where an Order of the Eastern Star service will begin at 10:45 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
