Judith C. “Judy” Bell, age 79, of Newark, DE, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020.

Born on September 1, 1941, in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Homer O. and Alma T. Cleaver, Sr. In her younger years, Judy worked for DuPont then dedicated over 20 years of service to MBNA until she retired in 2008. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling to the beach. Judy loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Samuel Roger Bell. She is survived by her children, Stephanie Hearne (Lee) and David Bell (Kimberly), both of Newark, and Samuel A. Bell (Jackie) of Chesapeake City, MD; siblings, Eugene Cleaver of Weston, CO and Charles Cleaver of Newark; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, followed by a service at 11 am. Face masks are required for all in attendance. Interment will be held privately at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Port Penn Road, Port Penn, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St., Ste. 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
