Juliette Patricia “Juju” Miller - Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory

Juliette Patricia “Juju” Miller

Died October 20, 2022

Juliette Patricia “Juju” Miller, age 60, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 in Newark, DE.

Juliette was born in Brussels, Belgium to the late Gilbert and Juliette Brismé. She earned multiple certifications as a labor and delivery technician and doula, and devoted her life to her family and patients.

Juliette was first and always a dreamer. After having dreamt of her soulmate as a girl, she met George in his Navy uniform, and as predicted, fell in love right away, despite the language barrier between them. She followed that dream to the United States, leaving behind the world she knew to build a life and family that she cherished. Juliette continued to dream throughout her life, becoming first an OB Tech, and transitioning later in life to fine art classes to fulfill her life-long dream of being an artist. She dedicated her life to her family, and was their fiercest advocate, making sure to pass on her love of learning and art (and stinky cheese) to her children.  Juliette loved all of her babies – the seven she called her own, her four grandchildren, and the thousands she helped to bring into the world during her years of service at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. Juliette was as beloved by her coworkers and patients as she has been, and will always be, by her family and friends. Born on New Year’s Eve, she was the life of every party. Juliette told the best stories, including of her childhood exploits pranking tourists with her brothers in the Brussels city center, gave the best hugs, and was always ready with a joke or a shoulder to cry on. She will be dearly and deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Juliette was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Conkie; and her brothers, Johnny Conkie, and Serge Brismé; as well as her parents-in-law, George and Lois Miller; her brother-in-law, Michael Miller; and her daughter, Aurelie. She is survived by her husband, George Miller Jr.; her six children, Marie-Louise Carrow (Mark), Tiphanie Cascella (Raymond), Arabelle Miller, George Miller, III, Anayse Miller, and Aiden Miller; her brother, Jean Brismé; her sisters, Myriam Bisschot (Jean) and Diana Borremans (Guido); her brothers-in-law, Richard Miller (Beth), and Alain Carton; and sisters-in-law, Jeanne Coward (Jeff), and Josianne Conkie; and her beloved grandchildren, Alice, Mavis, Logan and Maverick; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Juliette’s birthday, December 31, 2022, at Parsell Funeral Home, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where a celebration of life will begin at 11 am. A memorial service will be held in Brussels, Belgium at a later date.

  • Her stories were the absolute best! I will be forever grateful that I was able to know her, and love her. She got me through many hard times in my life. Talking with her at 3am over coffee and something sweet was the best part of my night at work. Always. I will always regret not staying in closer contact after parting ways. Juliette was a beautiful human being.

All of my thoughts and love to her family,
