Julio Anibal Pieraldi, age 64, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020,

Born in Dominican Republic on September 1, 1955, he was the son of the late Vidal and Nelly Estervina Peguero De Pieraldi. Julio came to the United States when he was 8 years old and grew up in Brooklyn. Later in his young adulthood, he moved to New Jersey and attended Essex County College. There, he received an Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences. Advancing toward his career, Julio also earned a certification in gas turbine combined cycle technology, a license in high-pressure stationary engineer 3rd class Blue Seal Certificate and was a General Physics Corp; Advanced Operator.

Julio was a mechanical engineer, managing power plants all over the world which gave him the opportunity to visit numerous countries. Julio excelled in anything he did, he made it a priority in life to always do any task correctly and efficiently. As well as being a dedicated hard worker he was also dedicated to his family. Julio was the father of six daughters, and grandfather of three granddaughters. He was the patriarch of our family. He was always there for all of us, some would say maybe too much. Julio always made sure all of his children had anything they wanted and more. He gave his family the most comfortable life filled with love, guidance and support. Julio left a lasting impression on everyone he met, his smile and contagious laugh filled a room and you would certainly not ever forget meeting him. 

We will all deeply miss Julio. Losing him to soon to the current pandemic has profoundly changed our lives. He has left us many memories filled with fun, laughter and love. Julio will forever be remembered for the devoted father, and partner he was. The hard worker, and family man that gave his children the best life possible. We all love him dearly and will miss him terribly. 

Julio is survived by his daughters, Sunshine 46, Marissa 32, Rebecca 29, Julianna 14, Charlize 14, and Andreya 10; granddaughters, Shakira, Liana and Daniella; partner of 24 years, Catherine De Jesus; and ex-wife and lifelong friend, Donna Pieraldi.

  • Julio was my best and closest male cousin. Growning up together in DR with our grandmother gave us the foundation and work ethics that flourished once Julio came to the US.
    I will miss his smile and witty sense of humor.
