Kenneth H. Winter, age 53, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 20, 1966, he was a son of Barbara J. (Brumberg) Winter and the late Robert V. Winter. Kenneth was currently working for over 25 years as a teacher for the Red Clay School District. While teaching, he worked for the Philadelphia Phillies as a stadium host and at the Wells Fargo Center, both in Philadelphia, for security at concerts and events.

Kenneth enjoyed and was active in the Drum Corps and the Mummer’s. He loved doing stand-up comedy at different venues, as well as attending and watching professional wrestling. Every fall, Kenneth worked at haunted attractions in the area and would often take his daughter, Ashley. In his spare time, he was a travel agent and enjoyed vacationing around the world. An animal lover, Kenneth was a devoted volunteer at the SPCA with Ashley. He truly cherished this time spent with his daughter and caring for the animals.

Kenneth is survived by his loving Wife of 22 years, Maureen L. Horan-Winter; Children, Brad Winter, Nicole Young, Ashley Winter and Heather Horan; Son-in-law, Samuel Molina; Grandchildren, Evie, Ellie, Adeline, Amelia, Samuel, Omar and Jazmin; 1 Brother; 1 Sister; and a Niece and Nephew.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 3 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will be held at 3 pm. Face masks will be required for all in attendance. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kenneth’s memory to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Ste. 101, Newark, DE 19713.
