
Kenneth R. Worley

Kenneth R. Worley, age 83, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
Born in Whitwell, TN, on June 13, 1938, he was a son of the late Henry C. and Ada E. (Van Hooser) Worley. Kennth proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division. He spent many years at Exxon as a motor tank salesman and retired in 1993 after 30 years of dedicated service.
Active in his community, he was a dedicated member of the VFW, American Legion, and a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge No. 2 A.F. & A.M. Kenneth enjoyed watching western movies. He took pleasure in the outdoors and cutting his grass. Kenneth looked forward to time spent at the beach and visiting amusement parks. Most of all, he loved his family and was a devoted father.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his siblings, Harold D. Worley, and Alice M. Riley. He is survived by his loving children, James Worley, and Stellena Worley; longtime companion, Joncie T. Loomis; former wife, Judy Worley; dear friend, Pamela Henson; grandchildren, George Worley, Brittany Wilson, Savanah Worley; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Worley, Hailey Worley, Dallas Smallwood, and Axel Worley.
A committal service for friends and family will be held at 2 pm on Monday, May 23, 2022, in the Chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

My condolence for Ken’s family. I am so sorry for your loss. Ken was an amazing and wonderful man. I just got him out of his shell and then he had to leave us. He will be greatly missed and was loved by us. I am sure he is looking down on us with his sense of humor.
