Leroy M. Walker, age 43, of Dover, DE, formerly of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on May 18, 1978, he was the son of the late Richard L. and Florence E. (Edwards) Walker.

Leroy attended Christiana High School and graduated from Groves High School. Throughout his career, Leroy worked for various businesses. He married his high school sweetheart and together they raised their 3 sons and later their grandson, Trevor, who was pop’s little buddy.

Leroy enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family, especially on family vacations. He will always be remembered for his patient, quiet strength, and being a gentle giant.

In addition to his loving wife of 16 years, Elena L. (Temple) Walker, Leroy will be dearly missed by his sons, Christopher, Derrik, and Nathan Walker; grandson, Trevor Walker; and granddaughter, Isabella Walker.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a time of sharing will begin at 3:30 pm. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance. Interment will be held privately.
