Lester P. Stagg III

Lester P. Stagg III, age 71, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Lester was retired from DuPont where he spent over 20 years as an Electrical Engineer. He loved Philadelphia sports, and most of his days revolved around when one his teams were playing on television. In his younger years, Lester loved to fish, work on cars and never missed a good party! He loved all types of music and his elaborate stereo set ups.

Lester deeply loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester P. Stagg Jr. and Velma (Pedigo) Stagg. Lester is survived by his best friend, John “Beet” Bailey; children, Jacob Stagg and Leslie Kosek (Andrew); grandchildren, Jacob Stagg Jr., Tabetha Stagg, Philip Kosek, and Maximus Kosek; and siblings, Belinda Marvel (Mike), Barbie Harper (Curtis), and Duane Stagg (Sue).

Lester’s family would like to thank The Lorelton assisted living for providing a caring home to Lester over the last two years. The family would also like to the thank the staff of Christiana Care Hospital who cared for Lester in his final days. They went above and beyond to tend to his every need and we will forever be grateful.

Lester requested no funeral and wanted to be cremated with his ashes spread with his parents.
