Lillian E. (Thayer) Taylor

Lillian E. (Thayer) Taylor, age 96, of Newark, DE and formerly of New Castle, DE, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on June 10, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Lillian (Stradle) Krauss. Lillian dedicated to life to her family as a talented homemaker and worked for the former LeRoy Clothing Store in Wilmington for 10 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis O. Thayer; second husband, Benjamin Taylor; sisters, Hazel A. Winder and Emma E. Ainswort; and grandson, James David Boyce. Lillian is survived by her children, Lillian L. Boyce (James) of Dover, Louis H. Thayer (Diane) of New Castle and Barbara Rodriguez of New Castle; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
