Lillian J. Stevenson

Lillian J. Stevenson, age 88, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on July 22, 1933, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Kilocky. Lillian worked at Sears as a manger and she was very active in Holy Spirt Church. Her biggest love was being a homemaker and Girl Scouts leader for over 50 years. Lillian enjoyed bowling and participating in activities with the church. She really enjoyed her time at the beach with her friends and family, spending many days with her kids and grandchildren at her second home at Leisure Point.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Charles, John, Mary, Joe, Anna, Sophie, Therman, and Paul who lived in Ukraine. She is survived by her husband, Allen Stevenson; children, David Stevenson (Sumee), Dianne Marckese, Donna Justice (Bruce), and Denise DeMaio (Joseph); 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and her furry friend, Jazzy.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, 12 Winder Road, New Castle, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North Dupont Highway, New Castle, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to Holy Spirit R.C. Church at the address listed above or to SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1406 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809.

Denise I am so sorry to see this, I just found out. Bless her heart she never changed, such a beautiful lady. I remember her taking us into Rehoboth every weekend or on your Dads boat. The good days 🥰 again I am so sorry that I did not make it to her services as I just didn’t know. My thoughts and prayers for all of you 🙏
