Linda J. Bendler

November 4, 1952 - October 24, 2019

Linda J. Bendler, age 66, of Newark, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2019.  She was surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Born in Wilmington, DE on November 4, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Alvin R. and Dorothy E. (Pfister) Bendler.  Linda enjoyed her job as an administrative assistant with Artesian Water for 10 years.

Linda took pleasure in attending The Town Church and enjoyed going to bible study. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her daily devotionals, journaling and her leadership in several bible studies.  Her passion in life was for everyone to know the love of Jesus and the truth in God’s word.  She was also an avid reader and loved to garden, especially her flowers.  Linda made her fondest memories during time spent with her family.  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, niece, aunt and dear friend to many.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Brianna Riddell of Dallas, TX and Alainna Holmes of Newark; brothers, Tom Bendler of Newark and Dale Bendler of Port Penn; aunt and uncle, Janet and David Armstrong of Port Penn; and niece, Anna Bendler of Newark.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at The Town Church, 160 Commerce Drive, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 7 pm.  Interment will be held privately in Hickory Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to MARKINC Ministries, 2880 Summit Bridge Road, Bear, DE 19701.
