Marie T. (St. Pierre) DiGuardi
October 23, 1933 - August 7, 2020
Marie T. (St. Pierre) DiGuardi, age 86, of Millsboro, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 7, 2020.
Born in Fall River, MA on October 23, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Florence (Bouchard) St. Pierre. Marie proudly served her country in the U.S. Marines, where she met her beloved husband. She worked at Pantry Pride for many years. Following her retirement, Marie enjoyed life as a homemaker. She loved going to the casinos, scratch off lottery tickets and going to Bar Bingo with her son, Mark. For the year 2014-2015, Marie was named Veteran of the Year at the Millsboro American Legion.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, George W. DiGuardi; and brothers, Edward St. Pierre, Donald St. Pierre and Daniel St. Pierre. She is survived by her children, Rhonda Walker, Gary DiGuardi (Donna) and Mark DiGuardi, with whom she lived; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:30 am until 11:30 am on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE. Face masks will be required for all in attendance.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marieโs memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963, or Amvets, 32369 Long Neck Road, Unit 18, Millsboro, DE 19966.
