Michael Edward “Mike” Dills, age 64, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023.

Born in West Virginia on March 19, 1959, he was a son of the late Harvey J. and Golda (Perdue) Dills. Mike worked as a construction foreman at Merit Construction Engineers for 30 years.

Mike loved watching sports, he was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and never missed a game. He also enjoyed cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Phillies. Mike will always be remembered for being a hard worker who loved his family members very much.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his siblings, Wayne K. Dills and Brenda K. Keeler. He is survived by his son, Michael R. Dills of Townsend; grandchildren, Reece Dills and Gracie Dills, both of Middletown; siblings, Ronald Dills (Margaret), Deborah Dills, and Darryl Dills (Brigette); and numerous extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will begin at 11 am on Monday, September 18, 2023, in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.

    Visit me in dreams or any way you choose. My heart will always receive your love. I’ll think of you with every Eagles and Phillies game. I’ll cheer in your place and rejoice with you in their wins.
    Thank you for all the love and joy you brought to me and know how proud I have always been of you and your accomplishments. You worked so hard throughout your life. You brought me and my kids many smiles.

    Kristie and Frankie have lost an uncle that loved them so deeply.
