Michelle Madlyn Nevin, age 68, of New Castle, DE, passed away at her residence on Sunday, August 9, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Marlese (Watkins) Tate.

After graduating from West Philadelphia High School, Michelle married the love of her life, Robert. Shortly after, they welcomed their son, Robert Jr. Michelle trained as a nurse’s aide and went to work for Pennsylvania Hospital for several years.

Devoted to her family, she made the decision to stay home to raise Robert and help take care of her mother. Being a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker was her greatest joy. Michelle and her husband enjoyed drive in movies, concerts in the park, and playing cards with their long-time friend, Jerome Byrd. Michelle found great joy in baking and spending time with her grandchildren.  

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Robert D. Nevin, Sr.; son, Robert Nevin, Jr. (Rubylauren); brother-in-law, Theodore Nevin (Judy); and grandchildren, Robert III, Julian, and Madelynn.

Services and interment will be held privately.
