Ora Fowler Cisney
February 18, 1956 - January 18, 2025
Ora Fowler Cisney, age 68, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Born in Wilmington, DE on February 18, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Ora and Jane (O’Hara) Fowler. Ora attended school at St. Peter’s Catholic School and was a graduate of William Penn High School with the class of 1974. She lived in New Castle until she departed for the United States Army in 1979. Ora served for 21 years and retired to New Hampshire, and later moved back home to Delaware in 2023.
In her spare time, Ora could often be found tending to her garden or shopping. She had a deep affection for animals. Ora always looked forward to travelling to new places.
Ora is survived by her husband, Donald Cisney of Litchfield, NH; siblings, Harry Fowler, Elaine A. McQuire, and Mary Ann Bailey; and niece, Natalie L. Natasha.
A committal service will begin at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
