Paul Rosario Pino

March 21, 1962 - April 18, 2021

Paul Rosario Pino, age 59, of Middletown, DE, died on Sunday, April 18, 2021, from cancer. He was born on March 21, 1962, in Wilmington, DE, to the late Rosario and Caroline Pino. Paul was the youngest of two brothers and remained close to his brother, Mario and his family, throughout his lifetime.

Paul graduated from Brandywine High School in 1980, where he participated in the band program. During this time, he developed his lifelong interest in the automotive industry.

Shortly after high school, Paul began his career as an automotive technician and in 1983, graduated from the Automotive Training Center. Seeing the impact of electronics and technology on our daily lives, he attended Pennsylvania Institute of Technology and graduated in 1990 with an Associates in Specialized Technology – Computer Engineering. By this time, Paul’s professional goals began to shift to electrical engineering. This goal was realized in 2000, when he graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.

After graduating from the University of Delaware, Paul secured his dream job with W.L. Gore in product engineering. After a relationship with the Gore organization that exceeded 20 years, he distinguished himself as a leading expert in the radio frequency transmission and microwave industry. Paul’s expertise has helped keep our troops safe, and ensured seamless commercial communications.

Paul was more than a technology associate at W.L. Gore. His professional associates considered him a to be a mentor, and a trusted colleague. However, nothing was more evident to the people that knew Paul than his love for his family and faith.

Paul is survived by his ex-wife, Danielle Pino and their children, Dante and Alexa Pino; brother and sister-in-law, Mario and Maria Pino; nephew, Joseph Mousley; and his loving partner, Gina Salvitti Veith.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:30 pm until 4:30 pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE. Face masks will be required for all in attendance. Service and interment will be held privately.
