Reba L. Bankston, age 70, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Born in Rayle, GA, on September 10, 1951, she was a daughter of the late C.B. and Mamie Lou (Mathis) Bankston. Reba made her career as a seamstress and dry-clean presser for Friends Cleaner & The Kleeners in Philadelphia. She later went on to become a computer line operator for Marshall’s Distribution Center, where she later retired.

Reba’s hobbies included traveling, dancing, cooking, spending time with family and friends, spoiling her grand and great-grand babies, and enjoying life.

Reba is survived by her husband, Bennie Ball; children, Sabrina Bankston (Brian), Muhammed Ball and Davina Ball (Steven); siblings, Alfonso Bankston, Marion Bankston, Thomas Bankston, Mary Ann Shank, Elnora Crawford, Alvin Bankston, Lila Bankston, Vernon Bankston, and Delores Hall (god-sister); grandchildren, Aaron Villafane, Andre Villafane, Tiffany Villafane, Brad Wimberley, and Jordan Bryant; great grandchildren, Emmalina Villafane, Aaron Villafane Jr., Jocelyn Villafane, Aaron Villafane III, Autumn Gaddie, Simon Gaddie, Amari Wimberley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Reba was preceded in death by her brother, Emmanuel Almond; and sister, Nancy Haygood.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. The family requests attendees to wear face coverings if they have not been vaccinated. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Reba’s memory to the American Lung Association, American Lung Association, National Direct Response, PO Box 756, Osceola WI 54020-0756.
