Regina E. Bergeron
Mrs. Regina E. Bergeron, age 85, of Middletown, DE, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington.
Mrs. Bergeron was born in Wilmington on December 12, 1924, daughter of the late Robert Wilson and Ellen Myers Wilson. A talented homemaker throughout her life, she greatly enjoyed cooking for and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She delighted also in spending time outdoors, and, each summer, looked forward to vacationing at the family camp on South Pond in Stark, NH.
Mrs. Bergeron was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Pauls parish in Delaware City.
Her beloved husband of 64 years, Emile E. Bergeron, died on July 13, 2010. She is survived by her sons, Edward E. Bergeron (Lynda) of Middletown and Joseph G. Bergeron of Middletown; grandchildren, Suzanne Olski and Brian Bergeron; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Ted Bergeron, and siblings, Albert Wilson, Robert Wilson, Katherine Pierce, and Margaret Poultney.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 214 Clinton Street, Delaware City. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am at St. Pauls R.C. Church, 209 Washington Street, Delaware City. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Bergeron may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 240 N. James Street, Ste. 100-A, Wilmington, DE 19804.
