Richard Allen Mullen, age 73, born June 9, 1947, died April 15, 2021.

He was born on June 9, 1947 in Lansdale, PA to the late Louise (Brown) Nash and Richard Allen Nash. Rick was raised by Louise (Brown) Mullen and her 2nd husband, Raymond Vincent Mullen.

He grew up in Greenbrook, New Jersey and graduated from Dunellen High School.  Rick graduated Cum Laude from the College of New Jersey (Trenton State College).  He was a Principal Engineer for Ortho-McNeal, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical. After 31 years of service, Rick retired and moved to Middletown, Delaware. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam era with the US Army.

Rick’s hobbies included painting, fishing, golfing, bowling, model railroads, and playing softball. He enjoyed going on cruises with his wife and family as well as taking road trips touring the Eastern Seaboard states.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Jean; daughters, Cathy Stampoulos (Evan) of Hillsborough, NJ and Cindy Newlove of Phillipsburg, NJ; five grandchildren, Isabella, Daniel, Mildred, Brian and David; sisters, Margaret Marigliano of Green Brook, NJ, Janet Kapral of Watertown, TN, Nancy Gerrans of Raymond, ME, Wendy Rivera of Medford, OR and Sandy Pappas of Colton, CA; brothers, Timothy Mullen of Middlesex, NJ and Randy Nash of Lansdale, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, followed by a funeral service at 7 pm. A graveside service will be held the following afternoon, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1 pm in Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 State Route 27 (Lincoln Highway), North Brunswick, NJ 08902. Face masks will be required for all in attendance.
