Richard T. Hyatt

Richard T. Hyatt, age 61, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully Friday, November 8, 2019. Born in Wilmington, DE, on November 20, 1957, he was the son of the late John E. and Amy M. (Conway) Hyatt.
Rick was a master carpenter and enjoyed his time wood crafting and drawing. Rick proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps and continued to support the armed services through several organizations.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his siblings, Louise Terrell, Betty Jane Hyatt, George Hyatt, and Doris Grove.
He is survived by his daughters, Heidi Starr (Nick), and Samantha Muse (James); his long time companion, Lynn Wheatley; brother, Jack Hyatt; and his grandchildren, Georgia Muse, Jack Starr, Harrison and Chandler Muse, and Maxton Starr. Rick also had several nieces and nephews that will remember him as fun Uncle Rick.
A committal service will be held promptly at 1 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in the chapel at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
