  • One of that Nafus street gang! My life long friend and classmate and I was lucky enough to give him a long hug at the last PHS ’60 reunion in August. ( I wasn’t feeling well that day and left the reunion abruptly much to my regret now.)

I have great memories of my older brothers, Tommy and Jackie and I being invited into the loving Mitchell family home. At one time my parents made a deal with Mr. Mitchell to cut the Burns brothers hair for the summer. Nothing fancy, just what we used to call “baldy sours” because it was as close to being bald headed as possible. Mr. Mitchell really went to town on our heads and after all the hair was on the floor, he would vigorously rub our heads to make sure no hairs had survived the onslaught. We were good, haircut wise, for the rest of the summer. Loved it.

So long ago, so many good memories. Getting older sucks!
    R.I.P. Bobby.
