Robert Michael “Mike” Harding

Robert Michael “Mike” Harding, age 70, of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021.

Born in Harrisburg, PA on July 24, 1951, he was a son of the late Robert and Betty Harding. Mike graduated from the University of Alabama. He started a career with Bell Telephone Company, where he worked for many years. After leaving Bell Telephone, Mike started his own business, Alternative Business Solutions where he made many lifelong friendships.

He had a passion for planes and enjoyed flying, canvasing many areas. Of all of Mike’s passions, he enjoyed time spent in his garage, tinkering on his tractor, and working on anything he could fix.

Robert is survived by his children, Tracy Harding (Steven) and Michael Harding (Amanda); adopted daughter, Cory; and 6 grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will be held at 1 pm. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the Governor of Delaware. Interment will follow in Old Drawyers Cemetery, 2839 DuPont Highway, Middletown, DE.
