Rosemary A. Wufsus, age 90, of Newark, DE, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, PA, on December 7, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Steven and Irene (Lutz) Hatkevich. Rosemary worked as a solderer at W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc.

Rosemary loved crafting and sewing, making many beautiful pieces for her family and friends. She could often be found in the kitchen cooking a delicious meal.

In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Wufsus, Sr.; daughter, Janet Wufsus; and siblings, Frank Hatkevich, Melvin Hatkevich, and Irene Wall. She is survived by her children, Diane Wasko, Joe Wufsus, and Mark Wufsus; grandchildren, Julia, Jill, Victoria, Marirose, and A.J.; great-grandson, Tristen; sister-in-law, Marie McCarthy; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Holy Angels R.C. Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

  • Diane and family, I am so sorry to hear about Rosemary passing away. She was a lovely person. I’ll always remember the matching outfits she would sew for her kids and grandkids. She was so talented. I loved bumping into her when shopping at Christiana Mall or seeing her at the Beehive in MD. She was always a friendly person with a great smile. I pray we will reunite with her in Heaven one day to thank and praise God. Love and condolences to you all.
