On Friday, March 13, 2020, Ruperto Sanchez, loving fiancé, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, father and grandfather, passed away at age 53.

Ruperto was born on March 26, 1966 in Wilmington, DE. As an adult he lived in Florida for a few years before returning to New Castle, DE. He was an avid music lover and always enjoyed playing his guitar and had a great sense of fashion. He loved spending time with family. He was always excited when it came time to vacation in Atlantic City. He was also known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.

He is survived by his parents, Pedro Sr. and Francisca; fiancé, Deborah; daughters, Tier and Dalayna; brothers, Julio and Pedro Jr.; and grandchildren, Gaige, Blaze and Riley. He leaves behind many cousins, uncles, nieces, nephews and aunts who loved him dearly.

All services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruperto’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.

    We are saddened by the loss of Ruperto. He was such a nice person . Everytime he saw me he would give me a hug and kiss and ask how I was doing even though he was the one who was sick.

My kids would have loved you soo much if they knew you like I had the blessing to know you and have you in my life.
