Ruth Ann Ammermon

Mrs. Ruth Ann Ammermon, age 69, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Mrs. Ammermon was born in Wilmington on August 13, 1943, daughter of the late Addison Peck and Marie DuBois. A talented homemaker and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she devoted her life to caring for her beloved family and delighted in cooking wonderful meals for them. She especially enjoyed spending time at her beach house in Lewes, a beautiful home which she was very proud to have completely renovated with her husband. Mrs. Ammermon also looked forward to seeing her sisters during their trips to Atlantic City.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Raymond R. Ammermon, Sr.; children, by Marie A. Zickgraf of New Castle, Ruth A. Pfeil (Kenny) of Bear, and Raymond R. Ammermon, Jr. of New Castle; grandchildren, Christina, Nicole, Elizabeth, and Tyler; great grandchild, Trinity; two brothers and two sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle.
