Ruth Munford

Ruth Munford, age 93, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at her home in Townsend, Delaware.

Ruth was the daughter of James and Daisy Turner. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 2, 1929. Ruth attended school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

On May 6, 1961, Ruth was united in holy matrimony to her husband Robert L. Munford. From this union four children were born, Robin, Lori, Mark, and Cheryl. Ruth and Robert raised their family in Trevose, Pennsylvania. Ruth later moved to Delaware to live with her eldest daughter, Robin. Ruth was lovingly cared for by her daughter Robin and son-in-law Major.

Ruth enjoyed baking, spending time with her family, laughing, and reminiscing about good times. Ruth will be missed for her loving smile, sense of humor, and genuine care for others.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, daughter Lori Finney, grandson Darien Finney, sister Emma Stewart, brother Martin Turner, and son-in-law James Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memories three children Robin McCullough, Mark Munford, and Cheryl Jackson; two sons-in-law Major McCullough and Essex Finney Jr.; five grandchildren:  Essex Finney III, Avery McCullough, Cameron McCullough, James Munford, and Sydney Jackson; one sister Esther Holt, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

All services will be held privately.
