Ruth (Ryan) Grube, age 89, of Newark, DE, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 9, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Edward L. and Ruth N. (Drakely) Ryan. Ruth was a loving mother who dedicated her life to her faith and family.  She lived out her life as God intended. Her faith always came first. She lived every day with a smile on her face because she knew God would see her through anything.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Willard T. Grube, Sr.; and brothers, George Ryan, Edward Ryan and Joseph Ryan; and great grandchild, CJ. She is survived by her children, Theresa Hancharick (Joseph, Jr.), Willard Grube, Jr. (Suzanne), Susan Davis (Mark), Ruth Callahan (John), Laura Hanby (Thomas), David Grube (Kelly), Mary Gober (Greg) and Michele Madenfort (Michael); brother, Francis Ryan; sister, Mary Finlaw (Freeman); 23 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial for family and friends will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Holy Angels R.C. Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to EPIC Endless Possibilities in the Community, 69 E. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
