Sallie Mae Swales, age 64, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020.
Born in Wilmington, DE on May 11, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Grace (Martin) Harris. Sallie worked as a case worker for the Wilmington Housing Authority. She loved listening to music and singing her favorite songs. Sallie enjoyed reading and traveling, often taking trips to the beach. Above all, she loved being with her family and partying with friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Carl Harris and Irene Skibicki. Sallie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Harry Swales, Sr.; son, Harry J. Swales, Jr.; and siblings, Joseph Harris, Bernice Harris, Josephine Ballew and Rhoda Harris.
All services will be held privately.
