Salvatore A. “Sal” DiMenno

June 13, 1935 - December 19, 2020

Salvatore A. “Sal” DiMenno, age 85, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Born on June 13, 1935, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Albert and Christina (Pedona) DiMenno. Sal was a faithful member of St. Joseph Parish and dedicated over 56 years with the Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In his younger years, Sal coached little league baseball in Parsippany, NJ for many years. He retired after 20 years as a charter bus driver and dispatcher for Lakeland Bus Company.

In addition to his parents, Sal is preceded in death by his siblings, Josephine Nesta, Frances LeVicchi, and Constantine DiMenno. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Lois Jean (Wilson) DiMenno; children, Anthony DiMenno (Elizabeth), Joseph DiMenno (Connie), and Kathleen Ruffini (John); 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE. Service and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sal’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
