Sarah E. Bowerson

Sarah E. Bowerson, age 80, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2019.
Born in West Chester, PA on January 14, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Charles D. and Caroline C. (Matteson) Reynolds. Sarah was a waitress at Peggy’s Truck Stop for many years. In her younger years, she loved to bowl, play cards, attend horse races, and visit casinos.
In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Butch, and Louie Reynolds. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Bowser (George); brother, Russell Reynolds; sisters, Mildred Teague, Hilda Wilson, Dorothy Zile, and Carol Kenjerski; grandchildren, Tammy, William, Sr., and George, Jr.; 8 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 3 pm on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 3 pm. Interment will be held privately. Officiating services will be Pastor Willard Reynolds, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sarah’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
