  • My dearest Stanley my forever friend always looked out for me when nobody else did his knack for knowing sobriety dates and gathering right down to the minute he would shoot an email that I would print off and put on the wall in my office he was the only person that ever did anything like this he is and was magnificent and his wife Carel made a great awesome couple I had the privilege of knowing both of them and my heart goes out to her I never saw him so happy. I am saddened by this news and will always remember Carel as MrsStanley B. this has made me feel bad as I abandoned my priorities and haven’t had the chance to see either of my friends. • You showed me how it works Stan! You’ll always be in my heart Brother!

  • The world has lost one of the most loving, caring men that I have ever known. Nothing was too much for Stanley. With all his years in AA he always reminded us to continuously remain teachable and to grow every day. My favorite Stanley quote will always be when he said quite often, “I want to remain the dumbest person in the room. I always want to learn more.” My heart and warmest wishes go out to Carel and the rest of Stanley’s family. May God grant you peace during the days ahead and may all of the wonderful memories you shared with Stanley warm your heart and ease your mind.
    With love,
    Sande Richardson

  • You sure will be missed by many.. joining all the others that have left us.. prayers to the Family🙏🙏

  • I have know Stanley for a very long time. He used to call me Tracy all the time. It was funny because I never knew where he got that from. He was a kind and loving person. Sending love to the family.

  • My brother, my friend. Thank you for all you have been to me. The lessons you taught, the almost regal unspoken expectation you held. Never judgmental, always honest and still compassionate. There were many times we would laugh about forgetting to call each other, but we Always agreed on the most important, God’s grace and mercy. I know you are with Mommy and Daddy. Probably chilling with Uncle Dollar Bill. Although my heart is heavy and life will never be the same. You reminded every time we spoke that you loved me and I will always be your sister! Well bubble butt, you have always been, and will always be my big brother. I Love you and I will keep you with me always.”Every day above ground is a good one” Stanley Black

    Your sister forever
    Celia
