Susan B. Friedman, age 75, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023.

Born in Martinsville, VA on November 1, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Maxine (Kuzelka) Baumert. Susan dedicated her life to caring for her family.

Active in her faith, Susan was a graduate of Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, DE and attended Holy Angels R.C. Church. She enjoyed volunteering with elementary schools and Christiana Hospital. More than anything, she loved spending time and making memories with her family.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Friedman. She is survived by her loving husband Robert L. “Bob” Friedman; daughter, Loren “Lori” Carroll (David); grandchildren, Michael and Melanie; siblings, Rodney Baumert (Mary), Judith Jones (David, deceased), Robert Baumert (Madalyn), and Patricia Brencher (William); and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, Delaware.

  • I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. I hope you can find comfort in knowing you have the chance to see Susan again. The Bible promises that “there is going to be a resurrection”. (Acts 24:15) At this time “death will be no more”. (Revelation 21:3, 4)

  • I am so sorry for your loss. I had the blessing of getting to know Susan in 2020( writing letters during COVID). She kept a journal of her favorite scriptures and we shared our favorite verses. We became friends. I loved the Big Wall of Cards & Pics she displayed in her room. Happy memories. I loved Susan very much and I hope I helped her cope as much as she helped me. Acts 17:27
    was a scripture I shared with her often and she said she loved it too.
