Theresa Gandara, born on October 26, 1925 to Manuel Vilarino and Rufina Garcia Vilarino, passed away on June 5, 2013.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Peter Gandara, Jr., who died in 2004, two infant sisters, and siblings, Carmen Castello, Dolores Fico, and Manuel Vilarino. She is survived by her children, Teresa Mills and husband Wayne, Irene Makar and husband Robert, and Peter Gandara III; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a great great grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where visitation will begin at 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Newark Senior Center, 200 White Chapel Drive, Newark, DE 19713.
