Timothy Andrew “Tim” Macey
October 22, 1959 - December 20, 2021
Timothy Andrew “Tim” Macey, age 62, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 20, 2021.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on October 22, 1959, he was one of the nine sons of the late Michael and Helen (Hoeffer) Macey. Tim graduated from William Penn High School. Throughout his life, he worked in various professions. Prior to his illness, he was a manager at Aaron’s Furniture. Wherever Tim worked, he was always regarded as an honest, dependable, and caring individual. He was highly regarded by those who knew him. Tim was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed watching all of the Phillies teams. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and dearly loved grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Macey. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Ann (Walker) Macey; daughters, Nicole Stoffan (Matthew) and Shannon Macey; brothers, Kenneth Macey (Margaret), Michael Macey, William Macey, Nicholas Macey (Julie), Robert Macey (Regina), Jonathan Macey, and Jeremy Macey; and his grandson, the apple of Grand-Pop’s eye, Corey Timothy Macey.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tim’s memory to American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
