Toni Lynn Abel
December 27, 1967 - June 20, 2022
Toni Lynn Abel, age 54, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, June 20, 2022.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on December 27, 1967, she was a daughter of the late Franklin G. and Arlene L. Abel. Toni was a graduate of Delcastle Technical High School where she studied the cosmetology career program and became a licensed cosmetologist. She made her career as an office manager at Tri State Underground, Inc.
Toni enjoyed listening to the blues and attending blues music festivals. She was a talented hair stylist and enjoyed doing friends and families hair. Dining out for dinner was one of her favorite activities. Above of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren was what she loved most.
In addition to her parents, Toni was preceded in death by her siblings, William Abel, Loretta Kasehagen, Frankie Abel, Elenore Fontana, and Gail Shappee. She is survived by her loving children, Danielle Yaniak (Kevin), Carrie Dale, and Darrin Riley; sisters, Helen Havens (Joe), and Doris Downs (Jimmy); and grandchildren, Alexa, Nico and Vaylen: along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her family would like to express their extreme gratitude to Rick Hess, Ricky Hess and all the guys at Tri-State Underground, Inc. for all of their compassion, love, and understanding that they expressed to Toni during her tenure there. Tri-State Underground, Inc. was and will always be her family.
All services will be held privately at a later date.

My deepest sympathy to Carrie and family. I admired Toni’s strength and determination and appreciated her sense of humor and attitude towards life. I thought she was an amazing woman who practically handled what life dealt her. She will be remembered fondly and sorely missed. Peace to you all.
